About Lainie

Lainie is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists who specializes in supporting teens and young adults as they navigate the unique pressures of their generation.

​

She takes a personalized and relational approach to therapy, believing that each client’s individual needs should guide the process.

​

Grounded in trauma-informed care, Lainie values the healing potential of a strong therapeutic relationship and works collaboratively to develop practical strategies that fit naturally into everyday life.

​

Lainie completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University in 2022. Her interest in psychology grew from both personal and academic experiences that highlighted how life events, even subtle ones, can shape us in lasting ways. She is committed to ongoing learning and continues to expand her knowledge to best support the clients she serves.

​

Born and raised in Red Deer, Lainie is grateful to be practicing in the community she calls home. Outside of her work, she enjoys reading, walking, baking, travelling, and spending time with her husband, their cat, and close friends and family.
